Michelle Van Der Water to be in next Resident Evil
Australian actress Michelle Van Der Water is about to become known to millions of video game players.
The 30-year-old has scored an unique role as the heroine in the fifth instalment of hit video game Resident Evil, which will be released in October.
Makers of the horror game, set in Africa, have used Van Der Water as the model for Sheva Alomar, an agent who handles firearms and is involved in hand-to-hand combat. Alomar is also the partner of the main character.
For the part, Van Der Water had to be photographed dressed up in outfits with guns and firearms.

The Secret Life of The Veronicas was exposed yesterday – literally – after raunchy pictures of a girl believed to be one of the pop twins were splashed over an international porn site.
In a controversial scenario reminiscent of the recent sex scandals which soiled the reputations of US teen queens Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus, steamy shots of Jess Origliasso have been posted on porn website Fleshbot.com.
Cementing her status as the wilder of the two siblings, Jess – identified by her distinctive tattoo on her bare upper back – is pictured with a suggestive expression in the sepia-toned image.
A second picture, showing a Jess lookalike in a topless pose, is also posted on the site though a spokeswoman for The Veronicas stopped short of confirming the secondary topless shot was actually the Origliasso twin. (news)

Fans of ‘Lost’ to get some answers this season
Writer-producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof said Friday that they know exactly how the ABC series will end.
“We have 34 hours left for you guys to see — seasons five and six,” Lindelof told the Comic-Con crowd. “We owe answers. We know the answers that we owe. The questions have to begin to diminish.”
“We know where we’re going and we know how long we have left to tell the story,” Cuse added. “There’s also an organic process that goes on.”
They compared the process to a road trip, which can often include alternate routes and unexpected stops. (news)
Fergie to play a ‘ho’
The Grammy-winning singer has been cast as Saraghina in “Nine,” a big-screen adaptation of the Tony-winning musical. She will perform the saucy song “Be Italian” with Guido, played by Daniel Day-Lewis.
“She’s basically a prostitute on the beach,” Fergie told The Associated Press in an interview. “She introduces him to the world of sexuality. It’s a very strong song. I’m just thrilled I get to play a character. I’m singing, but I’m not singing as myself. I’m going to be singing as a character, and that’s what’s really exciting to me.”
Fergie, 33, joins Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench and Kate Hudson in “Nine,” directed by Rob Marshall (“Chicago”). Filming is set to begin in October. Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, had minor roles in the “Poseidon” and “Grindhouse” movies. (news)

Hollywood wild child Lindsay Lohan has finally come out and confirmed she has a lesbian lover.
Lohan and English-born DJ and musician Samantha Ronson have been virtually inseparable since the start of 2008 and despite leaks that the pair were lovers they kept it secret.
That is until Lohan’s 22nd birthday party when she came out loud and proud.
“I just wanna live a happy healthy year, continue on the path that I’ve been on and be with the person I care about. And my family.”
Ronson, whose brother is hip music producer Mark Ronson, has since posted the picture of the couple kissing on her MySpace page. (news)
