Nick D’Arcy gets radio gig
Dumped Olympian Nick D’Arcy will start a radio career next week when he joins a Queensland Sunshine Coast station ahead of the Beijing Games.
The butterfly champion will join Hot FM 91.1’s breakfast team and will report on the station’s Olympic coverage.
Prime Radio Group general manager Rick Chapman said he was pleased to appoint D’Arcy in a bid to help increase the station’s Olympics coverage.
“He’s a local guy for a start, but also the Olympics is a typically TV-dominated product so we thought we’d do something a little bit different,” he said. (news)
