The latest incarnation of the iPhone by Apple will be reportedly available June 26. Australian carriers Optus, Vodafone and Telstra should have a limited quantity for those willing to line up and sign up for new contracts. In the U.S. the 16GB version will be sold for $199 and the 32GB for $299 (with contract of course). Features include faster processor, additional video functions, upgraded camera with recording capabilities, and overall improved speed. The basic shell design will remain the same. Apple has sold 21 million iPhones since 2007 and instantly gained 10% market share. Sony-Ericsson and Nokia have been playing catch up ever since. The HTC G1 (Google phone) debuted with lesser fan fare touting it’s Android open source platform.
