The 28-year-old blonde launched her new sound at the Country Thunder Festival in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, on Saturday night, but the show didn’t go well.
As well as showcasing material from her forthcoming album, Jessica – who was dressed in tiny shorts, cowboy boots and a tight white shirt – also performed covers of country tracks including Willie Nelson’s On the Road Again and Shania Twain’s Who’s Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?, but the unimpressed audience heckled the singer throughout.
One spectator, Adam Matos, claimed she “wasn’t good enough”. (news)

Sarah Jessica Parker’s refusal to submit to the surgeon’s scalpel marked her out in an industry where cosmetic surgery is the norm.
But the Sex and the City star has finally bowed to pressure to have her distinctive mole removed.
The decision followed increasing criticism and downright abuse from fans who complained that they found it “distracting”.
The beauty spot was firmly in evidence up until last month.
But only a faint mark remained where the mole used to be when the 43-year-old star attended a baseball game in New York. (news)

The Hollywood blonde is tugging at the bra straps of Macpherson’s multi-million dollar underwear business, announcing she is launching a lingerie range under the name of Jessica Simpson Intimates.
The star’s bold bid is expected to come as an unwanted shock for The Body, who has built the Elle Macpherson Intimates range into one of the most successful and enduring celebrity fashion lines, reports Fashion Editor Jen Melocco.
“The lingerie business has just been so inspirational for me – watching a small business grow into a $150 million dollar global business and we’ve been doing this for 20 years now,” Macpherson said recently. (news)
Jessica Alba gives birth to baby girl
Jessica Alba, who married her long-time boyfriend Cash Warren three weeks ago, has given birth to baby girl, according to US Weekly magazine.
Alba, 27, best-known for her roles in the TV drama “Dark Angel” and the movie “Fantastic Four,” announced last December that she was pregnant and engaged to Warren.
Alba met Warren, 29, on the set of “Fantastic Four” in 2004 where he was a director’s assistant. Warren has since moved into producing.
US Weekly said Alba gave birth to her daughter at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles over the weekend. (news)
